メソジズム（Methodism）を信仰する人々のこと。メソジズムは、18世紀にジョン・ウェズリー（John Wesley）によって起こされた、英国の教会を内部から改革しようとする運動である。

Methodism, 18th-century movement founded by John Wesley that sought to reform the Church of England from within. The movement, however, became separate from its parent body and developed into an autonomous church. The World Methodist Council (WMC), an association of churches in the Methodist tradition, comprises more than 40.5 million Methodists in 138 countries.
(2)バプテスト(Baptist)
キリスト教プロテスタントの宗派の一つ。他の多くのプロテスタントと同じ信条を持ちながら、信者のみが洗礼を受けるべきであり、またそれは水をかけるものではなく全身を浸すことで行うべきであると主張する。

Baptist, member of a group of Protestant Christians who share the basic beliefs of most Protestants but who insist that only believers should be baptizedand that it should be done by immersion rather than by the sprinkling or pouring of water. (This view, however, is shared by others who are not Baptists.) Although Baptists do not constitute a single church or denominational structure, most adhere to a congregational form of church government. Some Baptists lay stress upon having no human founder, no human authority, and no human creed.
